I am surprised that the restaurant is temporarily closed. I dined there a few months ago and enjoyed a wonderful authentic Moroccan meal.

As a native of Morocco I can only approve of this restaurant. The food quality is top notch and is very authentic.

Highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Moroccan cuisine! Everything is fresh and super delicious from the chicken tagine to the harira, you won't be disappointed! Reminds me of home

Boyfriend took me here when we took a holiday to visit parents in Virginia and had bookmarked this place after seeing an ad on Instagram. Took a drive out to here and had a fun little date night. Brought home food for my parents which they loved and devoured. Bread hot and fresh and delicious. Scooping piles of chicken and lamb up. My favorite was the lamb so I would order that every time. And ordered more of that for my folks to have too. The chicken was great served a classic way although I could have used more salt on it...although the olives were a good salty addition. Loved the harira soup and it tastes just like we've made it at home. Happy to come back here anytime

This is our favorite Moroccan restaurant in the DC area. We had been searching for years for a great Moroccan place to eat out and after discovering Mount Olive we are so happy. The food is authentic and delicious and the service is warm and friendly. We travel from Ashburn to eat here a few times a month. My wife's family is Moroccan and this is a little taste of home for her. The atmosphere is welcoming and they are very friendly with our 3 year old. Love this place!

Great food and the people working here are salt of the earth in action and attitude. The harira soup was like my grandmothers. The felafel is some of the best I've had. So fresh and light we needed to order a second plate. The chicken and kefta tagines were so flavorful, not no mention the fresh khobz (bread). Definitely will be back!

Amazing authentic moroccan food, we ordered the moroccan sampler, the lamb tagine and chicken bastilla... all the dishes were delicious! we had the moroccan mint tea with some sweets and that was delightful! will definitely be bac!

Samara, Erin, Brian, and I had a late lunch at Mount Olive Restaurant, a Moroccan restaurant in Bailey's Crossroads. When we arrived, we were greeted by staff. The atmosphere was cozy, with Moroccan Tile Tables, art mural, and Moroccan music playing in the background. The menu was diverse. They have everything from chicken shawarma or falafel wrap to chicken or beef kabob to kabsa to Moroccan couscous to tagines to bastillas. During the weekend, they offer a Moroccan Buffet for $19.99/person. The buffet included appetizers (Taktouka, Grape Leaves, Zaalouk, Hummus, Moroccan Spicy Carrots, Spicy Beets), salads (Moroccan Potato Salad, Moroccan Rice Tuna Salad, and Moroccan Salad), hot entrees (including Rfissa and Fried Seafood), and sides. Since the weather was cool, we had Moroccan Mint Tea, which was served tableside. I enjoyed watching the long pours every time my tea was refilled. After checking out the buffet, we were given a basket of Khobz (Moroccan Bread) to enjoy with the appetizers and other saucy dishes. Among the appetizers, my favorites were Grape Leaves, Zaalouk, Moroccan Spicy Carrots, Spicy Beets, and Moroccan Potato Salad. In addition to the buffet, we ordered grilled meats and other dishes . Among the meats we tried, my favorites were Chicken Shawarma, Beef/Lamb Kefta, and Chicken Chops. All of the meat was tender, juicy, and flavorful. Regarding the other dishes, I highly recommend the Chicken Tagine, Moroccan Style Mussels, and Chicken Bastilla. I love how the chicken (in the Chicken Tagine) was slow-braised for over 24 hours. It was so tender, the meat fell off the bone. The Moroccan Style Mussels were served in a spicy tomato sauce and best savored with a spoon. The Chicken Bastilla was a sweet and savory delight. For dessert, if you're in the mood for something sweet, I'd recommend the Chebbakia. They were sticky, crunchy, sweet, and nutty. If you're in the mood for something to enjoy with tea or coffee, I'd recommend the Fekkas, a Moroccan style biscotti. It was a personable and memorable dining experience with impeccable service from start to finish. It's the best Moroccan food in the DMV since Pasha Land closed!!! We'll definitely be back with family and friends.

Came here with a small group of friends to enjoy a late afternoon lunch. We all really enjoyed the buffet and the assorted grilled meats that we ordered. Everything was seasoned perfectly and very authentic. The service was top notch, and we felt like the owners and chef really went out of their way to make sure that we were enjoying the food. I highly recommend giving them a try if you are interested in trying some very tasty Moroccan food.

Authentic Moroccan food, I should know, I grew up in Morocco! I started first with a chicken tagine with olives and preserved lemons, garnished with fries, amazing! Than a chicken bastilla, a delicacy reserved in Morocco for major celebrations such as weddings. The chicken is mixed with candied almonds, it's as Moroccan as it gets. Some other items on the menu aren't necessarily Moroccan, more like Mediterranean from other cuisines in the region. The servings are generous, and the service friendly. There is a 15% service charge automatically added to your check at the end, not sure if it's a tip for the server.
